This story is set at a mysterious castle like a high school where two girls become friends.

My favourite part was at the beginning when all the children had to sign and claim their fairy tale legacies. My least favourite part was at the end when Raven had to say good-bye to Nevermore. It was so sad!

I really liked it when the author was using all those describing words at the beginning to describe how scary it was to go up to the podium and sign the first ever claim they ever did. Everybody’s hands were trembling thinking that they might sign it wrong.

I think this author is really good and I would like to read more of Shannon Hale’s books.

I think this book would be suitable for 10 year olds and up. Out of what I have read from this amazing book I think I will rate this book 10/10.
